Jorge E. De Amorim Filho, MD
Master Surgeon, Hernia Surgery
Dr. Jorge is a board-certified general and trauma surgeon. He attended the University of Utah, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology (with a minor in chemistry). He completed medical school and residency at the University of Utah.
Dr. Jorge was drawn to general surgery because of the wide variety of opportunities to help people and see the near-instant impact on their lives. Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Dr. Jorge would help his father, a vascular surgeon, at the hospital. He saw early in life that he wanted to be a surgeon to help improve people's lives.
Dr. Jorge specializes in hernia repair, specifically complex abdominal wall reconstruction.
Drew W. McRoberts, MD
Master Surgeon, Hernia Surgery
Dr. Drew McRoberts is board certified in general surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and co-founder of Portneuf Surgical Specialists. He serves as Chief of Surgery and Trauma Director for Portneuf Medical Center. He completed medical school and residency at the University of Washington.
Dr. McRoberts is a Pocatello native. He returned to Pocatello in 1995 to partner with his father Andrew, also a general surgeon, until his retirement. General surgery chose Drew when he took a surgical handicrafts course as an undergraduate at the University of Utah and knew it was his passion.
Dr. McRoberts specializes in hernia repair and complex abdominal wall reconstruction.
